Cesar wins it for PLU with ninth-inning RBI single

Michael Cesar of Juneau batted in runs in both games of Pacific Lutheran University’s doubleheader sweep of College of Idaho, including the game-winning RBI in Game 1.
The former Juneau Legion Post 25 catcher singled with the bases loaded to break a tie and provide a 3-2 victory.
He started Game 2 behind the plate and finished 2-for-5 with an RBI in the fifth inning in a 6-1 win.
The freshman finished 3-for-6 in the twin bill, raising his season batting average 51 points to .265.
He also had 6 RBIs in 12 games.
Cesar was last season’s Gatorade Alaska Player of the Year.
