Eagle River, Dimond fight off elimination on Day 4 of state

Eagle River 8, Fairbanks 6
R.J. Dirscherl drove in two runs and pitched the final two innings to save Eagle River's 8-6 win over Fairbanks Post 11 in an elimination game at Alaska Legion state tournament at Mulcahy Stadium.
Cameron Fabacher pitcher came in the game in the third inning and got the win, throwing 4.2 innnings of two-hit, one-run relief.
Eagle River's Lauren Frost also drove in two runs while Kyle Frost scored three times and Colby Leblanc and David Fuller scored each twice.
For Fairbanks, Casey Lewandoski tripled and finished with two RBIs. Harrison Alford and Benjamin Hall each banged out two hits.
The Post 11 49ers finished the season 11-17.
Eagle River [18-18] advanced to play another day, winning its second straight elimination game.
Dimond 10, Bartlett 1
Dimond Post 21 pitcher Sean Bradley threw a 5-hit gem to highlight a 10-1 victory over Bartlett Post 28 in an elimination game at the Alaska Legion state tournament at Mulcahy Stadium.
Bradley walked five and struck out three, dancing around base runners all night.
Grant Remmer and Toni Bost each drove in two runs. Mahlon Cleveland, Lucas Thorp and Preston Micheletto each had one RBI.
The Lynx managed to win their 18th game of the season with only six base hits.
Bartlett's Dimitri Torres went 2-for-4 with a triple and RBI. Sean Breslin scored the lone run.
The Golden Bears were doomed by errors because they got effective pitching from Zach Schmidt and Andrew Dickey.
Bartlett finished the season 11-20.
