Klein is undefeated after five starts with Lewis & Clark College

When the Juneau Legion Post 25 needed a win last summer the team turned to Nathan Klein.

Nothing has changed in college.

The freshman right-hander is the ace for the Lewis & Clark College pitching staff and he's mowing batters just like he did in Alaska.

Klein has flashed a 3-0 record and 2.86 ERA in five appearances for the NCAA D3 school in Portland, Oregon.

He owns a 16-10 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 28.1 innings of work.

Klein was the Opening Day starter and threw seven innings of shutout ball. He hasn't lost since, picking up a no-decision in Saturday's start against Linfield.
