Lower 48 teams flex muscles on Day 2 of BP Invitational

The three Outside teams proved to be pretty tough on the second day of the 19th annual BP Invitational at Mulcahy Stadium.

The East Texas Canes of Texarkana lead Pool A and the Napoleon [OH] Post 300 River Bandits lead Pool B going into Saturday's action, the final day of pool play. Semifinals and title game are Sunday.

Texarkana, fresh off its championship in Kenai in the third leg of the Alaska Airlines Tournament Tour, beat Chugiak Post 33 by a 4-3 score in its only game of the day.

The Texas team is now 5-0 in Alaska.

Napoleon, which won the title in Wasilla in the second leg of the Alaska Airlines Tournament Tour, beat Woodinville [WA] Post 127 by an 11-2 count and also beat South Post 4 by a 7-2 score.

The Ohio team is 8-3 since arriving in Alaska.

The third Outside team, Woodinville, defeated Service Post 28 in an 18-7 slugfest.
