Corey Madden of Anchorage last night picked up his 18th career victory as the Jacksonville Suns beat the Montgomery Biscuits 8-2 in Double-A action.

The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and struck out one batter in 1.1 innings of work, pitching the fifth and fourth innings of a seven-inning opener of a doubleheader.

This was his second appearance since rejoining the Suns this week. He is yet to give up a run in 3.1 innings.

And now he’s 1-0.

Madden, of East High fame, has a career 18-12 record with 13 saves in 191 games dating back to 2006. He has a 3.05 ERA in 280 innings.
