Anchorage’s Aaron Miller gave the Mayville State University baseball team back-to-back home runs in a key sixth inning during a 7-6 win over Dickinson State in the opening round of the Frontier Conference Tournament in North Dakota.
Mayville trailed 6-3 until the sixth inning when John Cahill and Miller crushed consecutive solo homers. The Comets eventually pulled even later in the inning and then won in the ninth.
Miller, of Service High fame, finished 2-for-4 to raise his season batting average to .362 in 49 games.
It was his second home run and 26th RBI.
