Look for information on the 3rd Annual Laces Academy Winter Clinic to be coming soon. Don’t lose your arm strength this winter by sitting on your fanny’s playing video games. There will be plenty of indoor training time available to help keep you in baseball shape so you don’t have to start from scratch again in April. Maybe some of you Nancy’s could actually get stronger this winter but time will only tell.

It was a wet and wild 2010 season! Props to all players and coaches who battled through the tough weather and actually turned what could have been sloppy ball into exciting back and forth baseball. Congratulations to Dimond Post 21 Lynx for another Championship Season, as well as to, Alaska Road Warriors Post 35 for a surprise come from behind tournament to take the 2nd place slot. Both teams competed very hard in their regional tournaments and we are all very proud of you.

This season opened with the Grand Opening of the newly renovated Mulcahy Stadium. Thanks to the Alliance for Support of American Legion Baseball and all of those who helped sponsor the project, we were able to compete on the nicest infield surface in the state of Alaska for more games than any of us expected. Special thanks to those VIP guests who attended the ceremony. It was especially exciting to see Mayor Sullivan and Governor Parnell throw out the inaugural first pitch. It was a major hit, get it? major hit? Anyways, Thank you to all of our sponsors, parents, players, and coaches who helped make the 2010 season so electrifying. Next season promises to have a few more surprises in store for us so look for updates on this site every so often. Who knows, we are rotating pictures on the homepage and your cute little mug might end up on there next week. I’ll be writing different blog style commentaries throughout the winter and as we draw closer to the season this site will be updated almost daily. Farewell for now.

Yours Truly,
Dylan Barry
