Palmer bashes go-ahead homer to key Waldorf win

Former Wasilla Legion Post 35 all-star Matthew Palmer crushed the go-ahead home run for Waldorf College in an 8-4 win over Central Baptist in Arkansas.

 

The senior left fielder hit a three-run bomb in the fifth inning to give his team the lead for good at 6-4.

 

Palmer has six home runs in his last 21 games with the NAIA team in Iowa.

 

In all, 12 of his 20 career hits have gone for extra bases in 33 games.

 

Palmer, who is from Palmer, has two games with two home runs in the same game.
