It's called the Big Fish, but the Kenai Post 20 baseball team bagged an elephant instead.
Thanks to good pitching, great defense and Hector Rivera, the Twins beat former Legion World Series champion Columbia [Tenn.] Post 19 by a 2-0 score on the first day of the Bill Miller Big Fish Tournament at Oiler Park.
Josiah Covey, Max Hegge and Ethan Oliver combined on a 3-hitter. Covey started and allowed one hit in three innings. Hegge and Oliver each worked two innings of relief and gave up one hit apiece.
Rivera scored both runs for Kenai [21-7].
He doubled in the first and came around the score on Covey's RBI single up the middle. In the sixth, he reached on an error and was driven in by do-everything sports star A.J. Hall.
