The Alliance for the Support of American Legion Baseball is excited to bring back the Professional Baseball Coaches Clinic for the first time in 5 years. The camp will feature 3 coaches with Major League Baseball coaching experience that will be assisted by former college and minor league players, as well as local High School and American Legion Baseball coaches.

PRO COACHES

Dan Carlson is currently the Assistant Pitching Coach for the Arizona Diamondbacks working closely with this camps founder Brent Strom. He has also served as the Minor League Pitching Coordinator and been with the Arizona Diamondbacks for 22 years.

Jeff Bajenaru is currently the Pitching Skills & Development Coach for the Arizona Diamondbacks. He is finishing up his 13th season as a coach with the Diamondbacks after pitching parts of 8 seasons split between the Diamondbacks and White Sox.

Frank Cacciatore has over 30 years of Professional Baseball coaching experience as Minor League Development and Hitting Coach. He has spent time in the Astros, Marlins, Nationals/Expos, Mets, Giants, and Phillies systems.

CAMP

The camp will be November 10-12 (There is no school November 10 in the ASD) at West Anchorage High School. We will have various stations in the West Gym, West Axillary Gym (with batting cages), West Weight Room, West Classrooms, and the Romig gym. The camp will divide into age groups; High School, Middle School (6th-8th grade), and Youth (9-12 years old). These groups will have different assigned times and will be divided into smaller groups that will rotate between stations throughout the camp. This allows each participant to spend time with each coach in smaller group settings. Stations may include weight training, conditioning, hitting, pitching, fielding, presentations, video breakdown or various other activities that the coaches find appropriate. This is a camp for all skill levels to get an opportunity to work with professional coaches and learn what drills they focus on at the next level.
