Schierhorn improves to 2-0, picks up fourth career win

University of Dallas pitcher Chris Schierhorn of Anchorage has yet to give up an earned run in 17 innings this season.
He’s also yet to lose.
The southpaw starter improved to 2-0 after spearheading a 13-6 victory over Austin College today in Texas, throwing five strong innings.
Schierhorn, of South High fame, gave up five hits and a pair of unearned runs. He walked two and struck out three.
He improved to 4-3 in 15 career starts, surpassing the 100-inning plateau in the process. He went 1-1 as a junior and 1-2 as a sophomore.
Teammate Trevor Allred, also of Anchorage, enjoyed a three-hit performance in the doubleheader.
The starting third baseman went 1-2 for with a double and two RBIs in the first game, helping his former South teammate earn the win.
In the second game, Allred went 2 for 4 with another double.
