Columbia [Tenn.] 3, South 2

Nick Holt's two-run, two-out single proved to be the difference for Post 19 in its first tournament game.

It was a pitcher's duel between South's Bryan Baker and Columbia's Caleb Pitts for the first 4 scoreless innings.

With the game tied at 1-1 in the fifth inning, Holt scored Blake Phillips and Dathan Prewitt to put his team ahead for good.

Holt also pitched an shutout inning of relief. Closer Seth Staggs earned the save with a perfect ninth.
