Service, Napoleon [OH] to play for Todd Ryan title Sunday

The Service Post 28 Cougars picked a great time to get hot.

They posted their third straight win with a 17-7 victory over Eagle River in tonight’s semifinals of the Todd Ryan Memorial Tournament in Wasilla.

This is Service’s first three-game winning streak of the Legion AA season, thanks to nine runs with two outs in the sixth inning.

In the other semifinal, Napoleon [Ohio] Post 300 River Bandits won their fourth straight game since arriving in Alaska, this time beating Wasilla Post 35 by a 16-1 score.

Napoleon will face Service in the Todd Ryan championship game Sunday at 6 p.m. at McManus Field.

Napoleon won the 2011 tournament title.
