The Service Post 28 baseball team fell to 0-3 at tournament in Cranston, Rhode Island.
"All games are wood bats ... players still working on that phase of the game and getting used to playing in 84 degrees," manager Steve Nerland said.
Service lost to West Warwick, R.I., 5-2 and then dropped a 10-0 decision to Buffalo, N.Y.
Today the Alaska team dropped a heartbreaker to Stamford, Conn., losing 10-8 in a slugfest.
Jake Ridley had a 2-run triple and Johnny Meszaros added a 2-run double.
"The game went back and forth with four lead changes," Nerland said.
Service plays two more games tomorrow, including a matchup with defending Rhode Island state champion and tournament host Cranston.
