Thompson has 5 hits, 5 RBIs in big win for Pacific Lutheran

Anchorage’s Tyler Thompson of Pacific Lutheran University had the game of his life in what has been the best season of his college baseball career.

The junior third baseman went 5-for-6 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scores during a 22-2 victory over Lewis & Clark in the second game of today’s NCAA D3 doubleheader in Washington.

Thompson finished 6-for-11 and scored 6 times on the day.

He bumped his batting average to .339 and now has 31 RBIs in 31 games.
