Wisthoff, Clevenger have 2 hits

Freshman Dylan Wisthoff of Anchorage banged out his first extra-base hit of his college career during Canada College’s 11-5 win over San Francisco during CCCBCA play.

 

The third baseman went 2 for 3 with a walk and 2 RBIs.

 

Wisthoff, of West High fame, drove in a pair of runs with a double in the fourth inning. He singled in the seventh inning.

 

He raised his average to .237 in 24 games.

 

At the College of the Desert, freshman Corey Clevenger of Anchorage also enjoyed a two-hit day.

 

The third baseman delivered two of his team’s four hits in a 6-1 loss to Mt. San Jacinto, snapping the team’s six-game winning streak.

 

Clevenger, of Dimond High fame, increased his average to .213 in 29 games. He also had 14 runs and 13 RBIs.
