Thanks to a 4-for-4 performance at the plate earlier this month, Anchorage’s Cooper Bailey-Parsons is leading his college team in hitting a month into his freshman season.
The former Service Legion Post 28 third baseman is the top hitter for Olympic College in Washington with a .304 batting average through his first eight games in the NWAC.
Bailey-Parsons is coming off a torn ACL.
Now he’s tearing the cover off the ball.
He went 2-for-4 in his first college game. The next week he went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and two walks in a 21-14 slugfest win over Thompson River.
Bailey-Parsons has added six RBIs and a .407 on-base percentage.
